Wat als www.google.com zelf nu eens werd geoptimaliseerd voor de zoekmachines ?

Hoe zou Google eruit zien na een grondige SEO-campagne die voldoet aan de Google richtlijnen voor webmasters ?

Het zal elke SEO’er wel duidelijk zijn dat Google zelf al eens durft zondigen tegen zijn eigen richtlijnen. Volgens Palo Alto Joe zijn dit de nodige stappen voor de optimalisatie van www.google.com :

• First, add lots of cross-linking so the search engine knows what is relevant
• Great, but we need something to keep the content fresh and up to date.
• New content every day! Now we need massive linking from other sites so the search engine thinks we’re important.
• S.B.S.F! Social-Bookmark-Spam Facilitators! Now we need to reinforce the keywords on the page.
• Yes, we got the word ’search’ into the page 9 times! We need still more inbound links. Lets add our own bookmarking tool. And a blog.
• This is starting to look like a real website! We need still more inbound links. How about some partnerships?
• And now, the URL itself has to include the keywords for better page rank.
• Google Design Perfection!
